A BOTTLE FULL OF LOVE

Making the leap to bottle feeding , especially in cases where this is not a choice but a necessity, must not be seen by the mother as a failure to care for her child, or as a defeat.

There is only one thing that matters: that baby is nourished and feels loved at all times and under all circumstances. It is important, therefore, that bottle feeding takes place in the same way as breastfeeding, allowing both mother and baby to enjoy this intimate occasion.

A CALM, SERENE MOMENT

The environment must be calm and relaxed, and little ones must be able to feel mama's touch and love, even when not latching directly onto the breast.

Feeding time evokes a wonderful combination of emotions - a sense of communication, love and tenderness that doesn't have to be sacrificed.

As with breastfeeding, it is important to make time for feeding, away from confusion, noise, and distraction - a peaceful moment to connect with each other.

GETTING DADDY INVOLVED

Bottle feeding has the advantage of being able to involve daddy directly in this important ritual.

Indeed, after the first few weeks of life, fathers can also experience the thrill of giving a bottle to baby. This will help them to get to know each other better, and to grow closer as father and child, keeping any of the feelings of jealousy, exclusion and abandonment that new fathers often feel at bay.
